WHEREAS, Glenn L. Hansen, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Police, was injured in a third party
accident on August 16, lg6g, while engaged in the performance
of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expense in the amount
of �316.00 therefor, and said employee was disabled from work
for a period of time being paid salary in the amount of �830. 40
for which the City may claim credit at the rate of �60.00 per
week; and that the city squad car No. g04 was also damaged in said
aecid�nt to the extent of �66. 30 for which Comptroller' s
Registered Bill #3-6272 was issued; and
WHEREAS, a compromise settlement has been negotiated between
said employee and the other party involved in said accident, which
provides for a net settlement to the City in the amount of
�808. 47 after deductionsfor proportionate attorney' s fees and
costs; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officersare hereby authorized
to accept the sum of �808.47 in full, final and complete settlement
of its claim herein; that of said sum �188.00 is thereby credite�
to the Police ���ary Fund; �554.�7to the Workmen' s Compensation
Fund and �66. 30 in payffient of Registered Bill #3-6272.
