BUREAU OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS ROBERT L. AMES, City Archi+ect 445 Ci1y Hall, 55102 223-4212
August 15, 1972
Madam President and
Members of the City Council
Re: 626 E. Jessamine
File #2348
.-------
Honorable Council:
The Bureau of Public Buildings is hereby submitting its report on
the condition of the garage at the location referred to above.
The owners of record are Grace Milbradt - contract purchaser and
Century Investment Club - fee owner and the legal description of
the property is Lot 11, Block 4 , J. R. Weide ' s Addition.
This building is a single car frame arage 14 ' x 18' on the rear
of the lot.
The garage is leaning out of plumb. The roof is leaking and rot-
ten. Windows are broken and the service door is off its hinges.
The main door opening has been cut out for a truck and the doors
are now too short for the opening.
Inasmuch as the conditions outlined above constitute a public haz-
ard and the owner has made no attempt to satisfactorily repair the
damage despite our warnings, and the deteriorated condition of this
garage contributes a blighting influence on the neighborhood, it is
the recommendation of this bureau that this matter be referred to
the City Attorney' s office for razing and removal through District
Court proceedings.
Ve truly you s ,
lenn A. Erickson
