WHEREAS, Section 3. 02 of the Charter of the Gity of
Saint Paul requires that the Mayor shall designate, with
the advice and consent of the Council� an appointive
officer or employee of the City to serve as Acting Mayor
during the absence or disability of the Mayor, subject
always to the Mayor' s control and direction.; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, by letter to this Couneil , has
designated Philip N. Lee to serve as Acting Mayor during
his absenee or disabilit�� now, therefore , be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul�
that it he reby confirms and ratifies the action of the -
Mayor in appointing Philip N. Lee to serve as Acting Mayor
pursuant to the provisions of Section 3. 02 of the Charter.
Such appointment is confirmed and ratified until such time as
a City Administrator is appointed and qualified.
