Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, there is hereby
transferred the sum of $2,300.00 from the Contingent Reserve Account -
Activity 0998-400 to the Microfilming Activity 0990 to be allocated as
follows:

Honorable Members of the Board; •
ti?e rresently have worlcing in our microfilm section a part-titne
temporary employee, and we would like to request at this time that she
be employed on a full-time permanent basis at Grade 15, Senior Niicrofilm
Operator and C1erk, at a salary of $549.00 per month.
This employee has been working in our microfilm section for a
lon�er period of time on a temporary part-time basis than the other two
full-time permanent employees presently employed, and is much more know-
' ledgeable of the microfilm section and the work involved than .anyone
else we have. �
� In addition to the request for another employee in the microfilm
section, I am requesting additional funds to finance microfilm supplies
and duplicating supplies since our projections for the last six months
of 1972 indicate that there will be a shortage in both of these accounts
due to the fact that the business of both departments has doubled. Our
workload will be further strained by the addition of three new accounts
in 1972, namely, Clerk of District Court, Juvenile Court and the Assessor's
Office; and in 1973, the Police and Fire Departments, Municipal Court and
Juvenile Probation.
It is due to the above stated facts .that this request is being
made and we �aould appreciate your concurrence and approval of this request.
