WHEREAS, the Clty Council ot the City ot Saint Paul is informed by the
Department ot Parks, Rec�eation and Public Buiidings that the vacant and open
building(s) located at:
143 North Grotto
in the City of Saint Paul are a proximate haiard to the publlc healfifi,
weltare and safe#y; and
WHEREAS, the lasfi known record owners o# said property are:
Mrs. Veollie Carter
and said owners have taifed to secure the same against entry by unauthorized
persons in violation ot Secfiion 192. 1ES of the Saint Paul Legislative Code,
and said vacant and open buildi�g(s) have been found and determined by the
Council of the City of Sain# Paui to constitute a menace to the pubiic healtA,
wetfare and safety and a public nuisance which must be i�anediately abated to
prevent loss of life or property; now, there#ore be it
RESOLYED, that the Department ot Parks, Recreation and Public Buiidings
is authoriaed and directed to immediately secure satd buildings by the use of
contract labor under contract No.-�`395- ending proceedt�gs under the Hazardous
Esuildings Act; and be it L 75�5
fURTHER RESOLVED, that the expense of securing such butidings be paid
from Fund No. 0979-269, Summary Abatement, and that the Corporation COUnset
be directed to take appropriate action to reimburse said fund by action
against the owner of said property.
