RESOLVED, Tha.t pursua.nt to the thority contained in Minnesota
Statutes, Section 475.71, the Council of the City of Saint Paul
does hereby authorize the Ma.yor, Head of the Depart�ent of Fina.nce
and City Clerk to issue registered bonds of the City of Saint Paul
to George L. Cohen, New York, N. Y. , in excha.nge for coupon bonds
in the amount of $1,000.00 each, described as follows:
� 1. F�ater Works Bond, Series 1955A, 2 .10%, due May l,
1974, with 11/1/72 and SCA, Numbered 78906 and 78908;
2. Water Works Bonds, Series 1955A, 2 .10%, due Ma.y 1,
1977, with 11/1/72 and SCA, Numbered 79060, 79061 and ,
79063; a�d
3. School Improvement Bonds, Series No. 2, 2.10%, due
Ma.y 1, 1976, with 11/1/72 and SCA, Numbered 80781 and
80783;
said registered bonds to be issued at the Office ~of the Department
of Finance and to be done under the direction and supervision of the
Sinking Fund Committee; provided, however, tha.t such registered _
bo�.ds, so issued, shall not incur any new liability on the City or
extend the time of maturity of the coupon bonds which ha.ve been
authorized or issued, and in place of which they are ordered issued,
but sha.11 only bind the City in the same manner and to the same
extent as bound by said coupon bonds, or as provided in and by
Cha.pter 475, Minnesota Statutes; the ma.nner of cancellation of such
surrendered coupon bonds and the form of registered bonds to be as
prescribed by the Sinking Fund Committee. The Department of Finance
is authorized to pa.y current interest on such regist�ered bonds by
check.
