WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is committed to creating
an efficient government through its reorganization plans; and
WHEREAS, the initiation of these plans may @nvision the
installation of automated equipment and procedures, which
conceivably may displace or change the nature of an employee ' s
position; now, there�ore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor, the Civil Service Commission
and the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby affirm
that every measure will be taken to protect the employment
status of all personnel effected by governmental reorganization
and automation, and such action may include on-the-job retraining
programs, transfers, reinstat�ment rights, and every other
�llowable action in accordance with the Civil Service rules
and regulations.
