RESOLVED, That upon recarrnendation of the Mayor and pursuant to
Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul , there is
hereby transferred the sum of $100,000 from the Contingent Reserve
Activity 0998 to the fotlowing snow activities in the Department of
Public Works:

Dea r Mayo r Cohen:
Attached for your approval is a resolution transferring funds in
the amount of $100,000 from the Contingent Reserve to the Winter Street
Maintenance Activities. This transfer will provide funds for plowing
all the streets in the city two times by the end of the year and remov-
ing snow in the downtown area and outlying arterial streets as needed.
There are funds available for sanding and salting of streets.
Whether this will be enough money to provide services untit the end
of the year will , of course, depend on the amount of snow that falls.
