RE: Duluth and Case Children's Play Area
CDBG File 61559
! am writing to request an addition of $15,000.00 to the construction budget for
• the referenced project.
This project was proposed in 1993 for the 1994-95 budget, but was not funded.
In mid-1995 when CDBG funds became available for the project the CIB
Committee was considering a new Duluth and Case project proposal for the
1996-97 budget, plus another Duluth and Case proposal for ballfield fencing,
player benches and electricaf work.
Both of the 1996-97 proposals were withdrawn from the process when the
1994-95 proposal was funded, and it was agreed that we would try to provide all
of the requested work within the old project allocation.
The play area bids opened on May 29, and we have a$15,000 shortfall to make
the contract award. The fencing and electrical work have been completed and
the player benches are incfuded in the piay area bid, so fhis award wiil compiete
all of the work.
Thank you for your considerafion. ff additional information is needed, please
call.
