WHEREAS, The City of St. Paul has entered into a contract with the
United States of America Department of Housing and Urban Development for
an Open Space Land Grant to assist in the acquisition of the Rice-Arlington
Recreation Site, and
WHEREAS, Due to increased land costs, it became necessary to request
an additional sum of $67,500, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings
was authorized by Council File No. 256747, adopted December 15, 1971, to
� request said increase, and

�' iaHEREAS, The Department of Housing and Urban Development has now

;��, ��� approved the requested increase; now, therefore

` a BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of St. Paul that the

�?� proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
