AUTHORIZING APPLICATIONS
FOR OPPORTUIVITY GRANTS THROUGH
THE LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS the City of Saint Paul is a participant in the Livable Communities AcYs Housing Incentives
Program for 2002 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for
funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and
WHEREAS the �ity has identified planning projects within the City that meets the Demonstration Account's
purpose/s and criteria; and
WHEREAS the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project
demonstration; and

18 WHEREAS the City certifies that it will compiy with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the
19 contract agreements; and

21 WHEREAS the City Council of Saint Paul, Minnesota agrees to as legal sponsor for the projects contained in
22 the opportunity grant applications submitted on May 15, 2002,

BE TT FURT`HER RESOLVED that the Department of Planning and Economic Development is hereby
authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for this funding on behalf of the City of Saint Paul and to
execute such agreements as are necessary to implement such planning projects fixnded by the Livable
Communities Demonstration Program. -
