of the City of Saint Paul
'I'he Council passed a resolution on April 25 providing certain
reimbursement for automobile expenses for certain members of the
Bureau of Police in the amount of 10� per mile.
An examination of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, Chapter
92A, seems to indicate that the maximum mileage allowance per-
mitted is 7�� per mile. In 1971 the legislature granted authority
to municipalities to increa5e the allowance for mileage to 10� per
mile, but since the Council has not acted to amend our ordinance,
we are still bound to 72� per mile.
