WHEREAS, THE NNNICIPAL ASPHALT PLAATT exploded on April 19, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, The Water Department ha.s been receiving asphalt from the Municipa.l
Plant until a new contract with CENTRAL ASPHALT COMPANY, the low bidder on
Formal Bid No. �+958 is executed; and,
WI�REAS, The Water Depaxtment is in immediate need of asphalt to carry out
its operations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID, That the Water Depaxtment is authorized to
purchase asphalt supplies as needed at the Formal Bid price of CENTRAL
ASPHALT COMPANY until such time as the City-Wide Contract has been executed.
