PAUL FIOENCIL N0. ,�,1�`� OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BT COMMISSIONE DATF WHEREI , over a long period of time certain inequities have develope in the pay structure affecting a class of graded employes know�} as the Water Shed Laborers; and WHEREAS, as a result of long and meaningful negotiations between the duly certified union representatives representing said class of employes, namely, Mr. Kenneth Lynch and Mr. George Larkin and the chairman of the Personnel Committee and the president of the Water Board; and WHEREAS, in order to alleviate the foregoing inequities, it is the unanimous recommendation of the aforementioned parties to the negotiations that the following adjustment be made in the pay of Water Shed Laborers in pursuance of the previously adopted policy of the City Council of equal pay for equal work insofar as possible; Now, Therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the pay scale for Water Shed Laborers shall be established at $5.54 per hour and that an ordinance accomplishing said pay adjustment shall be introduced forthwith; and be it FINALLY RESOLVED, that the terms of said ordinance shall provide and this Council states by this resolution that it shall be our intent that the effective date of said pay adjustment shall be May l, 1972 . ,� � APR 18 1972 COUNCILMEN Adopted by the Council 19_ Yeas Nays Butler �R 1 a '�� �RY'lenn �"�K- •OVe 19� Le�ine n Favor Meredith Sprafka �/ yor A gainst Tedesco Mr. President, McCarty PU�L�SHED APR 2 2 1972 �
