02-418Council File # O a1. � — l�0 `�; ^i' ` � .,, � . t E t'v' < < ` S . �i i.� Resolution # Green Sheet # � � 6 RESOLUTION 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 Presented By CITY OF �� Approval to Accept and Eapend Livable Communities Funds from the Metropolitan Council for the University Avenue Transit Oriented Development Study WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Councii was awarded a Livable Communities Opportunity Grant from the Metropolitan Council to conduct Transit Oriented Development Planning for University Avenue in 2002; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is providing $70,000 far the purpose of the study to be drawn down as expenses are incurred; and WHEREAS, Mayor Randy Kelly signed a grant agreement on behalf of the City of Saint Paul on February 4, 2002 to acceptthese funds;and Whereas, the Mayor, pursuant to section 10.07.01 of the charter of the city of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations $70,000 in funds in excess of those estimated in the 2002 budget; and VJHEREAS, the Planning Commission has established a task force to conduct the study with representatives from all the major stakeholder; and WHEREAS, the City Council gratefully thanks the Metropolitan Council for its support of transit oriented development in Saint Paul. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Saint Paul City Council, that approval is hereby granted to amend the 2002 budget, accepting funds from the Metropolitan Council, to be expended for the purposes of the University Avenue TOD Study; and (Cont.) 37 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council adopts the following changes to the 2002 38 budget.
