THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 Section 30.01 of the Saint Paul I,egislaUve Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 30.01. Purpose. 14 The council deems it in the public interest to regulate the size and time of display of temporary election signs since the 15 council wishes to enhance the appearance of all sections of the city. The council also observes the common historical 16 experience of the manufacture and usage of such signs makes them susceptible to vandalism and deteriorarion, thus 17 causing litter and debris; and further observes that the display of such sia s, unless regulated, has a tendency ta distriet 18 distract motorists and sa therefore increases the potential for acts of unsafe driving. 19 20 21 �� 24 25 26 27 2$ 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 �0 �1 �2 �3 � This ordinance sha11 take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication in the Saint Paul I.egal Ledger.
