The amount of money allowed in the 1973 b�dget #'ar Retireea' Inaurance
Premiums account #09002, $71,596.00 is going to be much Jeae than will be
needed For this account.
The follrnaing reasone are ��hy more money will be needed for our
retirece' insursnce: .
1. Coexncil Resolution ,{�2613�� providing ineurance Por retirees
Who retired prior to 196�+ _and w�re a�e 65 or older nt the time
of retirement has brought 57 more fsmily and k0 more single
contracte into the group et'fective Auguet i, i973.
2. We must anticipate at leaet 100 more such eligibie retirees
before the first of next year.
3• Labor Coritracts and'related City Ordinances providing City pay
for earZ�r retirees' insurence will put at leest 30 more retireee
and their dependents in this group.
We anticipate that we will need an additional $15,000 Por our retirees'
insurance premiuens and have a�ked Mr. Terry Sullivan to prepare the neceaeary
ordinance to transfex $15,000 frc�m the dedicated fund to the current premiwn
account.

Section I, That pursuant to and in .accordance vith the procedure
aet forth in Section 10.�7.1 and upon cei'tification of the 2�ayur that
additioaal funds are available in excess of the estimates of reven�e
adopted within the 1973 be:dget as amended, tt�e Council of the City of
Sain� Paul does hereby revise the I973 budget so as to incre�se
sctivity 09002 - Betiree Insurance, in the amaunt of $7.233.87 and
. further that the �propriation in the 19�3 budget for Betiree Insarance
is hereby increased as follows:
