RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
here}�y acquiesces and consents to the reconstruction of Saint
Paul Ramsey Hosgital by the establishment of one-half of a
nursing unit to accommodate a fifteen (15) bed maximum security
unit, which will accommodate patients who are inmates of the
Stillwater State Prison, and
FURZ'FJER RESOLVED, That the Council acknowledges that
the State Legislature ha� appropriated approximately $1,500,000
to fund facilities, modifications and pay for services to be
rendered by Saint Paul Ramsey Hospital to State P�ison inmates,
and that the Minnesota 5tate Department of Corrections will
oversee the modification-construction task and will also assume
all r�storation charges if the usefulness of the program of
ho�pitalizing State Prison inmates at Saint Paul Ramsey Hospital
is unsuccessful, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, Z'hat the Council acknowledges that
the cost of hospitalization will be underwritten by said State
Department and that no charges for medical services wi1Z accrue
to the City.
