k�NEREAS, the City of St. Paul is a clean City and it is the wish of
the Mayor and City Council to continue maintaining this cleanliness , and
l-lHEREAS, the Mayor has declared September 22, 1973 as City Wide
Clean-Up Day at which time no-cost rubbish disposal will be provided for
the Citizens of St. Paul , and
WHEREAS, the National Guard, Army Reserve, and Boy Scouts have
volunteered their services for the day and the Condor Corporation, Fairway
Foods, Inc. , Towle Realty, and the St. Paul Port Authority, School Board
and Water Departments have provided drop sites for the rubbish disposal
and McDonalds Restaurants will provide lunch for the volunteers, and
WHEREAS, American Hoist and Derrick Company will be assisting these
volunteers with City Wide Clean-Up Day, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Councit of the City of St. Paul hereby requests
the transfer of funds from the Contingerscy Reserve General Account (Code
No. 09060-41�) in the total amount of $1 ,040.00; said sum to be placed
in the Public tlorks Litter Baskets-Sanitary Service Account (Code No.
02220-222) and to be made payable on billing submitted by American Hoist
and Derrick Company for their services in this clean-up campaign.
