WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 115 � 116 (as amended by Laws of
1g73, Chapter 423 and Chapter 771) and The Federal Water Pollution
Control Act Amendments of 1972, the City is authorized to receive
grants and aids for financing the construction of sewer projects,
now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that
Mayor Lawrence D. Cohen be and he is hereby authorized to execute and
file an application on behalf of the City of St. Paul with the Minnesota
Pol )ution Control Agency and the Federal Environmental Protection
Agency for a grant to aid in financing the design and construction of
the St. Anthony Hill Storm Sewer Tunnel (S-Og71A) including an assurance
in compliance with regulations under Title 6 of the Civil Rights Act
of 1964, that Daniel J. Dunford, Director of Public Works be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Federal Environmental
Protection Agency may reasonably require in connection with the application
which is herein authorized to be filed.
