WHEREAS, the City Council from time to time takes the opportunity
to commend certain of its citizens for outstanding citizenship, and
WHEREAS, this outstanding citizenship has been displayed by one
downtown businessman in his never-ending promotion of Saint Paul in general
and Saint Paul sports in particular, and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the citizens of Saint Paul recognize
this devotion as a unique human resource and as an asset to us all, Now,
Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVID, that the Saint Paul City Council does hereby declare
the day September 7th "Bob Gallivan Day" in recognition of his many contributions
to Saint Paul, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVID, that we wish him well and many more on this
his sixty-fourth birthday.
