WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul has leased the building
located at 500 Laurel Avenue from the Saint Paul Housing and Re-
development Authority for the purpose of operating the City' s
Model Cities Program for a two-year term terminating April 13,
1974; and
WHEREAS, The Model Cities offices have been moved to a down-
town location, and this property is no longer being occupied by
the Model Cities offices; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor ha.s recommended that the City sublease
this property to Legal Assistance of Ra.msey County for the purpose
of operating the Neighborhood Justice Center, which proposed sub-
lease Agreement ha.s been approved by the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Tha.t the Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby approve sublease Agreement for the premises located at S00
Laurel Avenue to Le�al Assistance of Ramsey County for the re-
mainder of the City s Lease term with the Housing Authority� the
sublease Agreement commeneing August 15, 1973 and terminating April
13, 1974� and providing for payment to the City by Legal Assistance
of Ramsey County the sum of $700.00 per month, and the proper
City offic�rs are authorized and directed to execute the said sub-
lease Agreement on beha.lf of the City of Saint Paul.
