COl1IIC11 PINK � - FtNANCE GITY OF SAINT PAITL �� CANA4V - DEPARTMENT BLU� - MAYOR File NO. ��� � + un il Resolution Presented By Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date WHEREAS, The Stuart Corporation has made application to rezone certain properties located between Rankin Street and Alton Street and between Benson Avenue and Youngman Avenue in the City of Saint Paul, and more particularly described as Blocks 2, 3 and 4, Youngman and Lamm' s Addition, and Blocks 6, 7, 10, 11 and 12, Pallisade Addition, and WHEREAS, Said application for rezoning was made on August 15 � 1973, by filing said application with the City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul, together with an application fee in the amount of $730. 00 , and WHEREAS, It has been determined that the provisions of the 40 Acre Statute are not available for the purpose of initiating and rezoning the property described herein, and � WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Saint Paul has investigated the proposal of the Stuart Corporation for the re- zoning of this property, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED: 1. That the Saint Paul City Council finds and determines that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Saint Paul that the application for the rezoning of the properties described above be accepted, and 2. That in order to consider on its merits the request for rezoning of the properties described above, the Saint Paul City Council hereby initiates an amendment to the Saint Paul City Zoning Ordinance pursuant to Minnesota Statute 462 .357, Subdivision 4, and, be it further RESOLVED, 4. That the proper City Departments , agencies and commissions are hereby authorized and directed to consider this request and petition for the rezoning of the properties as described above and set forth in the application filed by the Stuart Corporation on August 15 , 1973 , as filed with the Saint Paul City Clerk, and be it further RESOLVED, 5 . That the Saint Paul City Council finds and determines that this resolution is for the sole purpose of initiating the procedures for amending the zoning code as requested by the Stuart Corporation and is in no manner a final approval of such an amendment request.
