WHEREAS The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City
of Saint Pau� ha.s acquired various parcels of real estate within
the City of Saint Paul and ha.s submitted application for abatement
of all taxes and special assessments levied against such property;
and
WHEREAS, Irr accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 462.575,
Subdivision 1, the real property owned by the said Housing and
Redevelopment Authority is exempt from special assessments, and
the Council of the City of Saint Paul has been requested by the
Ramsey County. Depa.rtment of Property Taxa.tion to consent to the
petition for relief made by the said Housing Authority; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, Tha.t the Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby approve the cancellation of special assessments levied
improperly against the parcels of real property owned by the
Housing and Redevelopment Authority and as more fully described in
applications for abatement, County Auditor' s numbers as set forth
in the attached letter of the Depa�tment of Property Taxation
addressed to the City Clerk dated July 23, 1973� which letter is
incorporated herein by reference; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, Tha.t the City Clerk sha.11 transmit forthwith
a certified copy of this resolution with attachments to the
Department of Property Taxation.
