WHEREAS, the citizens of this city and state have tavinced a deep desire that
there be an end to the war in Vietnam, and
WHEREAS, the war drains huge resources needed to improve the quality of life here
at home, and
WHEREAS, THE January 20th antiwar demonstration has been endorsed by many public
officials and many labor bod�es, and
WHEREAS, such strivings for peace coincide with the deep aspirations of the people ,
of our city,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Paul reaffirms
its position in favor of ending the war in Indochina now
and further that this body endorses the January 20th
Rally and Picket-line at the State Capitol .
