WHEREAS� Under Section 117 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, the United States of Atnexica (herein called the "Govern- ment"), has tendered to the City of Saint Paul (herein called the "Grantee") a proposed Amendatory Code Enforcement Grant �ontract, . pursuant to which the Government would extend certain Federal fina.ncial assistance to the Grantee in connection with the Code Enforcement Program described therein; and WHEREAS, The Grantee ha.s given due consideration to said proposed Amendatory Contract; and - WHEREAS, The Grantee is duly authorized, under and pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of Minnesota, to under- take and carry out said Code Enforcement Program and to execute such proposed Amendatory Contract; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The proposed Fifth Amendatory Contract, designa.ted "Amencatory ode Enforcement Grant Contract No. Minn. E-2(G)", providing for the ma.king by the Government to the Grantee of a Code Enforcement Grant under Section 117 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, in connection with the Code Enforcement Program described therein and designa.ted as Code Enforcement Program No. Minn. The proper City officers are hereby authorized and directe to execute said proposed Fifth Amendatory Contract in two counterparts on behalf of the Grantee and to impress and attest the official seal of the Grantee on each such counterpart and to forward such counterparts to the Depa.rtment of Housing and Urban Development, together with such other documents relative to the approval and execution thereof as ma.y be required by the Government. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to file requisitions, toget er wit necessary supporting documents, with the Government, in accordance with the Code Enforcement Grant Contract� requesting payments to be made on account of the Code Enforcement Grant pro- vided in the Code Enforcement Grant Contract, and to do and perform al� other things and acts required to .b� done or performed in order to obtain such payments .
