RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Mayor, the
Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve the
actions of the Civic Center Authority taken pursuant to
Civic Center Authority Resolution 580, requesting use of
funds in budget activity 09190 as outlined in the attached
resolution in the follQwing amounts:
Amateur Talent Contest Rehearsal $600.00
Square Dance $600.00
Queen' s Coronation Rehearsal $500.00
Assembly of Carnival Ma:rchers $500.00
and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are
hereby authorized and directed to reimburse the Civic Center
Authority for the above free use upon presentation of the -
appropriate payment instrument.

. WHEREAS, the C�vic Center Authority is desiraus of .
assisting the Winter Carn�val staff in the promotion of �
its 1973 events; now, therefore.; be it . . . � . -
. RESOLVED, That the followirig rentals shall be in . �
� effect for the Winter Carnival Association as :to the
below listed events:
: 1. As to the Ama.teur Talent Contest rehearsal . -
to be� held January 18 through January 21, �1973, at Stem
�, Ha.11, the base rental of $150.00 per day or a total of .
, $600.00 is to be charged to. the Civic .Genter Authority's . �
� Civic Promoti.on Rents (Civic Center) Account 09190. The
Winter Carnival Association snail be responsible for all
direct aosts, utilities and lighting in: connection with
such contest rehearsal.
2. As to a square dance to be held in the new Arena
on Janua.ry 27, 1973, upon recommendation of the zn.anaging � '
director of the Civic Center, the base rental. of $I,000.00
per day for the seconc� performance (first performance being _
the Winter Carnival� Parade in the afternoon), for ��hich the
- Carnival Association is paying full renta7. rates sha11 be
� reduced to $400.00. The $600.00 difference sha11 be charged
to Civic Promotion Rents (Civic Center ) Account 09190. All
� charges for labor and utilities sha11 be in the usual amount
and payable by the Carnival Association. The Carnival.
Association will only be allowed the aforementioned reduced
_ rate for the square dance if the first event (parade) exceeds
� the $1, 250.00 base rate. . �
� 3. � As to the use of the Auditorium for the Queen°s .
' Coronation rehearsal to be held January 6, 1973, upon : .
recommendation of the managing director of the Civic Center,
' �he $500.00 base rental charge is waived and said charge
sha11 be charged to Civic �romotion Rents (Civic Center)
Account 09190. The Carnival Assoc.iation shall be responsible - .
. for ��1 dire t costs such as Iabor and utilities. .
