WHEREAS , Captain Arthur A. Lauer, Unit Commander and the Investigators
of the Burglary Unit used untiring efforts which culminated
in the recovery of the "National Cup" , devoting long hours
to the investigation and pursuing the field activity phase
of the recovery without r�gard for their personal comfort
under the most adverse weather conditions ; and
WHEREAS , the officers of the Snowmobile Enforcement Unit also spent
many hours in the field, again under extremely adverse and
sometimes discouraging conditions ; and
WHEREAS , the Mayor and City Council are proud of all the officers
involved in moving this investigation to the successful
reeoveryo uf this priceless art abject ;
NOWa THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Saint Paul do hereby commend all of the officers
for their efforts , and consider their actions to be in the
finest tradition of police service.
