An ordinance setting forth the compensation for
the positions of Lime Recovery Operator, Instrument
Repairman (Filter Plant� and Pumping Engineer III ,�'
pursuant to letter of agreement between City of Saint
Paul and I ,O.U.E. Locals 36 and 967 .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l.
That pursuant to the provisions of a letter of agreement
between the City of Saint Paul and I .O.U.E. Locals 36 and 967
for the year of 1973, the compensation rates of the position of
Lime Recovery Operator shall be as follows;
$5, 61 an hour from the date of appointment to and
including the sixth month of employment,
$5, 86 an hour after six months of employment.
Section Z .
That pursuant to the provisions of a letter of agreement
between the City of Saint Pau1 and I ,O.U.E. Locals 36 and 967 for
the year of 1973, the compensation rates of the position of
Instrument Repairman (Filter Plant) shall be as follows;
$5. 61 an hour from the date of appointment to and
including the sixth month of employment
$5 . 86 an hour after six months of employment.

Section 3.
That pursuant to the provisions of a letter of agreement
between the City of Saint Paul and T .O.U.E, Locals 36 and 967 for
the year of 1973, the compensation rates of the position of Pump-
ing Engineer III shall be as follows;
$6. 51 an hour from the date of appointment to and
including the sixth month of employment,
$6. 76 an hour after six months of employment .
Section 4.
This ordina�ce shall become effective on the first day of
the first payrol� period thirty (30) days after the passage,
approval and publication of this ordinance.

These ordinances are being proposed to fulfill the agreements made ��vith
various exclusive repre sentative s of employees, or to grant changes in 2�����
salary to employees not covered under previous Council ordinances and c������
concerning whom negotiations have been completed. ��
rI'hese ordinances propose to: ��-xC7��,

1. Abolish the title Custodian-Engineer (Municipal Stadium}, ���
���42, Change the title Janitor to Custodian. ���� �7�
3. Change the rate of pay for Assistant Supervisor of Custodians not � �'�=
included in the bargaining unit because it was a supervisory employee
and was not included in the manual and maintenance because it was
an ungraded position. The proposed increase is exactly the same
cents-per-hour as those in the bargaining unit received.
4. Remove from the Graded Division and place in the Ungraded
Division the title Instrument Repairman (Filter Plant), and to '
change the pay of this job to the same pay as the Utilityman.
5. Change the rate for Lime Recovery Operator and Pumping
Engineer III, in accordance wit-h our letter of agreement.
6. Change the following from the Ungraded Division to the
Graded Division:
Equipment Maintenance Foreman
Fireman-Mechanic Foreman
Fireman-Mechanic General Foreman
Mechanic Foreman--Municipal Garage
Mechanic Foreman--Water Department
This move will involve an increase of approximately five per cent,
the same amount that those supervisors in the Graded Division
already received.
7, Change the rate of pay for Cook I, Baker I, and Food Service A.ide,
titles now in the special employ�r�ant group, approximately the same
5% that was received by the Cook II and Baker II in the Graded Division.
