02-252Council File # �S� �� , � , �, t�. .��:�r i F e 0.0' i 4 F .� �E RESOLUTION CITY OF Presented Referred To AUL, MINNESOTA Green Sheet # �� `{ ��` Committee Date � Resolution requesting enactment of parking recommendations and a long term parking plan. 1 WFIEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council requested information regazding parldng in Saint Paul; and 2 WHEREAS, Council Reseazch presented informarion and recommendations to the City Council and the City Council 3 now requests certain actions be taken in light of this information; now therefore be it 4 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council directs Council Research to work with the City Attorney's Office to 5 create an ordinance(s) that would set the fine for all parldng violarions, currently $20 and lower, to $25; and be it 6 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council directs Council Research to work with the City Attorney's Office to 7 create an ordinance that consolidates all residential parldng permit ordinances into one ordinance to ensure 8 consistency in tracking violafions and fines; and be it fiuther 9 RESOLVED, the that Saint Paul City Council directs Council Research to work with the Saint Paul Police 10 Depaziment, the Office of Financial Services and any other appropriate agency to develop a budget plan that would 11 connect revenues generated by parking violations to the staffmg of parking enforcement activity; and be it finally 12 RESOLVED, that the Saint Paui City Council requests the Planning Commission to develop a long term plan for 13 parking in the City of Saint Paul.
