02-228�����i��i�,� Presented By Referred To Committee: Date 1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, on behalf of the citizens of Saint Paul, seeks to replace 2 the existing trolley pole style street lighting system on East Seventh Street with a new street 3 lighting system. The lighting units to be replaced are located between Beech Street and Minnehaha 4 Street (7 lighting units) and on East Seventh Street at Payne Avenue (1 lighting unit). 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul formally seeks funding from the state of Minnesota under the Municipai Lighting Preservation Project Matching Fund for Fiscal Year 2003 and agrees to complete the above mentioned project if funded; and WHEREAS, this request has the support of the Ciry of Saint Paul Department Public Works; and WHEREAS, if funding is approved, the City of Saint Paul, being the owner ot the new street lighting system, accepts full responsibility for all expenses associated with providing power, maintenance and operation of the system. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, if funded, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby directs that the proper City officials be authorized to execute and sign all documents associated with the execution of this project.
