WHEREAS, the Legislat�re of the State of Minnesota has
enacted Laws of Minnesota for 1973, Chapter 691, relating
to the City of Saint Paul and providing the City with certain
alternative plans for municipal elections and election procedures ;
and
WHEREAS, this Council desires the advice and recommendation
of the Saint Paul Charter Commission on the election provisions
therein contained as well ae any suggestions or recommendations
that relate to elections or general election procedures for the
City of Sain� Paul ,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
requests the Chartex Commission to give consideration to Laws
of Minnesota for i973, Chapter 691, and the general subject
of municipal elections and election procedures at a � .
f ut u re• meeting and submit to the Council its advice and
recommendation; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed to
transmit a copy of this Resolution forthwith to the Chairman
of the Saint Paul Charter Commission.
