WHEREAS, a resolution adopted on March 27, 1973, by the
Board of Education of Independent School District No. 625
(Resolution No. 7333) expressed its desire to provide a more
comprehensive insuran ce coverage for its retirees, and
WSEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, by actions of its
Council determines eligibility of persons insured under its Group
Insurance Health and Welfare plans; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that upon retirement, an employee of Independent
School District No. 625, under age 65 but within 5tate Statute
limitations, eligible for a pension under any public employees'
retirement act, and eligible for insurance provided by the Independ-
ent School District No. 625, such insurance may be continued in full
force and effect with the premiums being paid by the Independent _
School District and the retiree in the same proportions as are paid
for active employee insurance. The burden of the retiree' s share
of dependent premitxms being received by the carrier shall rest with
the retiree, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that such insurance shall continue until
a) the first of the month in which such retiree attains
age 65, at which time this insurance will be auto-
matically transferred to the coverages provided for
regular retirees age 65 and older, or .
b) the employment of the retiree where hospital and
medical insurance are made available by the employer,
or

c) the death of the retiree; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, upon the death of the retiree, his
surviving spouse and dependents shall continue to be insured under
the same Hospital-Medi�al insurance plan with the surviving spouse
paying the retirees share of dependents coverage premiums. Depend-
ents shall continue to be insured so long as they a=e dependents as
defined in the policies, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that such above described survivor
insurance shall cease upon;
a) the subsequent remarriage of deceased retiree' s
spouse, or
b) the employment of the deceased retiree' s spouse
where hospital and medical insurance are made
available by the employer, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the provisions of this resolution
shall take effect for all retirees under age 65, who retired after
March 27, 1973, and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Clerk furnish certified
copies of this resolution to Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company,
Minnesota Hospital Service Association, Minnesota Indemnity, Inc.
and Group Health Plan, Inc.
