WHEREAS, the residents of Saint Paul have already felt
the effects of rising prices ; and
WHEREAS, the National Congress of Conaumers has called
for nationwide protests against high prices on May 5th; and
WHEREAS, many prominent Minnesotans and many organizations
are supporting a local protest on May 5th; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Coun�''��i go on record
in support of the protest against high prices scheduled for
2 ;00 P.M. , Saturday, May 5th, at the Minnesota State Capitol
and further urge all residents of Saint Paul and Minnesota
