WHEREAS, in May of 1973 Mr. Clifford W. Hamblin, St. Paul Water
Department General Manager, will be completing a disti.nguished and productive
term as President of the American Water Wor:ks Associati.on; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford W. Hamblin has provided outstanding leadership
in this internati.onal organizati.on and brought credit and esteem to the City of
St. Paul through his active paria.cipation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford W. Hamblin's entire career in municipal service
has been charact�rized by excellence in management and efficiency and has
always been consistent with the highest standards of professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clifford W. Hamblin h�,s continually demonstrated a
personal and unselfish dedicati.on to the public good and has been nata.onally
recognized on numerous occasions for his innovative and singular achievements;
so, therefore, be it ,
RESOLVED, tiiat this Council, on behalf of the people of St. Paul, does
hereby express publicly ar�d with great pride its most sincere gratitude and
appreciation for the continuing contributi.on of Mr. Clifford W. Hamblin to
the City of St. Paul, the American Water Works Association, and the people
of this communiLy; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk be directed to send copies of this
resoluti.on to the Naf.zonal Board of Directors of the American Water Works
