MINNESOTA 55102 March 29, 1973 T0: City Council FROM: Dean Meredith, Chairman ��`'� Finance Committee At a meeting on March 29, 1973, the Finance Committee recommended approval to the Council for transfer of an amount of 80% of the requested $5,500 for the International Institute and 80% of the requested $5,000 for the Saint Paul Council of Human Relations. This money is to be transferred out of the balance in the Housing Inspection Contingency Reserve Fund - 03305 - bringing that account to zero balance with the remainder to be taken from 01100 - Operations Research Contingency Reserve Fund. Cohen Fr: Frank D. �larzitelli � Re: Proposed Councit Resolutions: Human Relations and International Institute At a meeting of the Finance Committee of the Legislative body, representatives of the Coun.:il of Human Relations and the International Institute made a request for restoration of reduc- tions in their 1973 appropriations. After review by the Committee, it was recommended that 80� of the budget reduction (1973 appropriations less than 1972) shauld be restored. It is the recommendations of the Finance Committee that these organizations should laok to other sources for funding for 1974 and subsequent years. In accordance with this directive I have prepared two budget revisions to implement this recommendation. Funds for these appropriations are balances in specified appro- priatians in the Contingent Reserve where it has been determined available balan�es exist.
