RESOLVED� That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby endorses and approves certain legislation proposed by
the County of Ramsey entitled:
"A bill for an act relating to education;
authorizing the county of Ramsey to appropriate
money for educational , scientific and artistic
purposes ; amending Laws 1961, Chapter 583,
Section 1, as amended. "
which legislation increases the allowable mill levy for such
purposes from one-fourth mill to not to exceed $h����fourth� mill;
that the City Council further understands that with t�u�?s
increased allowable levy the County of Ramsey will provide
financing to support such arts and sciences and related pro-
grams in lieu of any appropriation by the City of Saint Paul
for such purposes ; and
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Council of the City of
Saint Paul urges the Ramsey County Delegation to the Legislature �
to support passage of said legislation.
