An ordinance amending Ordi.nance No. 6446, entitled: �¢
"An administrative ordinance fixing the com-
pensation rates of certain city positions and employments, "
approved January 23, 1g25, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordi.nance No. 6446, approved January 23,
1925, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking
out, where it appears in Section V, the paragraph which reads as followa:
"In accordance with Chapter 729 Laws of Minnesota for 1969, and
Chapter 798 Laws of Minnesota for 1969, and on the recommendation
of the Senior Judge of the Municipal Court, the Council hereby fixes
the annual salary of employees holding the title of Court Reporter and
performing the duties of a Court Reporter, at $15,385 per year� " ;
and by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
�'In accordance with Chapter 729 Laws of Minnesota for 1969, and
Chapter 798 Laws of Minnesota for 1969, and on the recommendation
of the Senior Judge of the Municipal Court, the Council hereby fixes
the annual salary of employees holding the title of Court Reporter and
performing the duties of a Court Reporter, at $16, 320 per year. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on the
first day of the first payroll period following thirty days after its passage,
approval, and publication in accordance with Council File No. 260367
approved December 22, 1972, which authorizes this wage increase to be
retroactive to January 6, 1973.

� At the monthly meeting of the i�Iunicipal Court Judges of
�'-'' the City of St. Paul on ,7anuary 11, 1973, it was unanimously
agreed that the Court would order the salaries of the Court
- Reporters of the St. Paul '�unicipal Court to be increased to
,�+,� - the amount of $16,320.00 per annum. This is in conformance
�' with A1.S.A. 488A.22, Subd. 3, wherein the P2unicipal Court •T
:��<� Reporters' Salary is fixed not to exceed the annual salary
- of the Court Reporters of District Court of Ramsey County.

requesting that you draw an Ordinance for that purpose.

Commission, makes the necessary amendment to increase the
Municipal Court Reporters� salaries to equal that of the Court Reporters
