WHEREAS pursuant to resolution, C.F. The exterior condition of the building is as follows: The entire building is in a dilapidated and deteriorated condition. Paint is peeling from the trim at the exterior of the building. The roofing is weathered. Large areas of the brick veneer have been knocked loose, leaving exposed the sheathing on the outside wall. c. The interior condition of the building is as follows: Paint is peeling from the trim, walls and ceilings. Plaster has fallen off the ceilings and walls. Floors are not level. Inside trim is loose from the wall and splintered. There is no bathtub or shower. Radiators have been removed. d. The building in th e above condition is beyond reasonable repair; e. The building is unfit for huma.n habitation in its present condition and the above corrections must be ma.de in compliance with the Building Code and the Housing Code of the City of Saint Paul in order to make the same habitable; f. The building constitutes a nuisance and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare because of its physical dama.ge, dilapidation and inadequate maintenance; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 463. 15 through 463. 26, and based upon the foregoing findings of the City Council, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby make the following Order: ORDER 1. The owners of the above described building shall ma.ke the same safe and not detrimental to the public peace, health, safety and welfare by having the said building razed and the materials therefrom removed from the premises within thirty (30) days from. the date of the service of this Order; 2. In the event that the building is to be razed by the City of Saint Paul pursuant to judgment of the District Court, all personal property or fixtures which may unreasonably interfere with the razing and removal of this building shall be removed within ten (10) days from the entry of judgment; and if not so removed, the City of Saint Paul shall remove and dispose of such personal property and fixtures as provided by law; 4. If the City of Saint Paul is compelled to take any corrective action herein, a11 necessary costs expended by the City will be assessed against the above described real estate and collected as other taxes; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution and incorporated Order herein be served upon the last record owners of the above described property in the manner provided by law. The owner of record is Perdues Inc. The legal description of the property is E. part of S. part of Lot 17 , Block 12 , Smith Sub. of Stinsons Addition. The building is 18 ' x 36 ' brick veneer one and a half story frame dwelling. This building is in a dilapidated and deteriorated condition. At the exterior of the building paint is peeling from the trim. The roofing is weathered. Large areas of the brick veneer have been knocked loose leaving exposed the sheathing on the outside wall. In the inside of the building paint is peeling from the trim, walls and ceilings. Plaster has fallen off the ceilings and walls. Floors are not level. Inside trim is loose from the wall and splintered. There is no bathtub or shower. Radiators have been removed. This dwelling is presently being used for the storage of building and construction materials. As of this date the Housing and Redevelopment Authority has not re- plyed to our letter asking them for information as to whether they are in the process of acquiring this property. Inasmuch as the physical damage and the dilapidated condition outlined above constitute a public hazard and the owner has made no attempt to satisfactorily repair the damage despite our warn- ings, and the continued vacant and boarded up condition contributes a blighting influence on the neighborhood, it is the recommendation of tYiis bureau that this matter be referred to the City Attorney' s office for razing and removal through District Court proceedings.
