WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul acting through its Valuation Engineer has
secured an agreement for the purchase of those certain properties described as
follows:
Subjeet to Ivy Ave. ; The East thirty-eight and �+2�100 (38.�+2)
feet of the north one hundred sixty six and 30�100 (166.30)
feet, of the North East (N.E. u) of North West (N.W. �) of
South West (S.W. ,�—�) of South East (S.E. ,�—�) of Section 22,
Town 29, Range 22.
Also Ex. W ten (10) Ft. and Ex. north 166 and 3�10 ft. the
NE��—, of NW,�—� of SW,�—� of SE,�—� of Sec. 22, Town 29, R 22
WI�REAS, The properties deseribed therein are necessary for the Prosperity
Park Site, Pro�ect No. Minn. OSA-116, and the price at which the properties may
be purchased is at the total amoun� of $10,100.00, a fair and reasonable price
accordin� to the appraisals obtained by the City Valuation Engineer; and
WHEREAS, The City Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase of said
properties at the price stated above, as evidenced by his report submitted here-
with; naw, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Ordinance No. 1�+906, Council File No. 255�+7,
approved September 9, 1971, the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby
authorize the purchase of the above described lands, and be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to John E. Frederiek, record Fee owner, the sum of $10,100.00,
said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund Code 6000-502, (L-7360)� ,
to be reimbursed f"rom Fund 9770-460-007, upon his furnishing evidence of good
marketable title in the aforesaid vendor� and the total payment to be made upon
tender by said party of appropriate deeds conveying title to said properties to
the City of Saint Paul.

and Members of the City Council
Ladies and Gentlemen:
The Council of the City of Saint Paul per Council File No. 255447, approved
September 9, 1971, adopted Ordinance iVo. 14906 authorizing and directing
the acquisitian of certain lands for Prosperity Park, Open Space Land
Project No. Minn. OSA-116.
Pursuant to such authorization and direction, I, in �y capacity as City
Valuation Engineer, have secured an agreement w�ith John E. Frederick,
owner of two parcels required for the said project� for purchase of his
lands for compensation in the total amount of $10,100.00 which in m�y
opinion is a fair and reasonable price. Therefore, it is recommended to
the Council that it authorize the purchase of these properties in lieu of
condemna.tion at the price of $10,100.00 as negotiated with the owner.
The properties herein recommended to be acquired are more particularly
described in the resolution submitted herewith for your considerati,an and
action.
