WHEREAS, Section 3.02 of the Cha.rter of the City of Saint
Paul requires tha.t the Ma.yor sha.11 designate, with the advice and
consent of the Council, an appointive officer or employee of the
City to serve as Acting Mayor during the absence or disability of
the Mayor, subject always to the Ma.yor' s control and direction; and
WHEREAS� The Ma.yor, by letter to this Council, ha,s designated
Frank D. Marzitelli, City Administrator, to serve as A�ting Ma.yor
during his absence or disability; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that it
hereby confirms and ratifies the action of the Mayor in appointing
Frank D. Marzitelli to serve as Acting Ma.yor, pursua.nt to the
provisions of Section 3.02 of the City Cha.rter.

the City of Saint Paul
The City Council by its resolution C. F. 259457,
approved August 11, 1972, confirmed and ratified my
appointment of Philip N. Lee to serve as Acting Ma.yor
until such time as a City Administrator is appointed
and qualified. Frank D. Marzitelli ha.s now been
appointed City Administrator, and I hereby submit and
recommend Frank D. Marzitelli to serve as Acting Ma.yor
during my absence or disability in accordance with
Section 3.02 of the City Charter.
