WHEREAS, the Fire Department of the City of Saint Paul,
" through expansion of duties including ambulance and paramedic
service to the citizens of Saint Paul, has demonstrated the
need for an additional Assistant Fire Chief to properly admini-
strate these new programs and responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, departmental funding is available to compensate
an additional Assistant Fire Chief within existing budget
appropriations for the fiscal year 1973; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby concurs in the recommendation of tl�e City Administrator
to retain anfl employ an additional Assistant Fire Chief for the
purposes here'in�.bove set forth.
