There is a 12 ' x 18 ' frame garage at the rear of the lot which is also in a deteriorated condition. Roof sheething has dryrot. Roof covering is old and in need of repair. Large doors have loose boards and are in need of repair. The property at 844 Dayton is zoned "B" residential which restricts the occupancy of a building to a maximum of two apartments. The Housing and Redevelopment Authority does not intend to acquire this property. The subject property has been boarded by the owner since July 15, 1972. Inasmuch as the inadequate maintenance, physical damage and dila- pidated conditions outlined above constitute a public hazard and the owner has made no attempt to satisfactorily repair the damage despite our warnings, and the continued vacant and boarded up con- dition conr.ibutes a blighting influence on the neighborhood, it is the recommendation of this bureau that this matter be referred to the City Attorney' s office for razing and removal through District Court proceedings.
