RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby orders said improvement to be made
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Council hereby determines the estate required for this improvement to be
fee simple, absolute and easements as described above; and the City Officers and City Attorney are hereby authorized
and directed to take all actions necessary to acquire said real estate by purchase or eminent domain.

The estimated cost thereof is $5.b5 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk
5 ft. wide and $6.75 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6 ft. wide.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of St. paul will hold a public
hearing in the Council Cha�era of th� City I�Iall and Court House at. 10;.00 a.m. on
June 6, i974 on the advisability of proceeding with Administrative Order D-1101,
approved February 7, 19]4, which proposes to construct and%or reconstruct the
sidewalk on the north side of St. Clair Avenue from Pleasant Avenue to Avon St��et
and by doing all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said
improvement except where it is determined that good and sufficient pouzed stdewalks
exist.
The assessment rate for A and B Residential property (1 and 2 family dt�,tellings oaly)
will be $4.00 per assessable foot for a 5 foot wide sidewalk.
Sidewalk construction for all other properties will be assesaed at actual coet Which
is eatimated ag follows:
S foot wide sidewalk $5.65 per asseseable foot
6 foot wide sidewalk $6.75 per assessable foot
- ,Assessment rates for sidewalk widths other than those quoted above will be pro-r$ted
accordingly.
In addition to the above, charges will be made for extra work which is � particular
benefit to the abutting property auch:as tree removal, poured concrete removal,
�,driveways and additional width of walks based on the annual sidewalk contract prices
on file in the Department of public Works.
If you wish detailed information regarding Chis •proposed improvement, you are invited
to meet with the technical advieors in the Council Chambers at 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. the
saa� daY as .the hearing. You may aleo telephone 298-4255 for construction information
or 298-5241 for assessment information.
This proposed improvement was initiated by the Department of Public Worka.
