WHEREAS, Minnesota Landmarks, Inc, of St. Paul has been
designated the official St. Paul Bicentennial Planning and Co-
ordinating Agency; and
WHEREAS, Officials of Minnesota Landmarks and the City
of Saint Paul are conferring with representatives of many local
organizations, including youth and minority groups, to encourage
and support broad participation in St. Paul �s Bicentennial Cele-
, bration; and
WHEREAS, The American Revolution Bicentennial Commission
has created .a Bicentennial Community Program whereby communities
meeting certain qualifications will be designated as Bicentennial
Communities; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Landmarks, Inc. of St. Paul has made
certain that qualifications on the Iocal level have been met for
designation of the City of St. Paul as a Bicentennial Community
and has made application for such designation; now, therefore,
be it -
RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of St. Paul
supports and approves the application prepared by Minnesota Land-
marks, Inc. on the City�s behalf and requests that the Mayor
execute said application and forward same to the American Revo-
lution Bicentennial Commission. ;--

by means of seismic survey. Nis-
