Lawson Ave. Public Hearing: April 4, 1974 File No. 2024 Honorable Council: The Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement is hereby submit- ting it$ report on the condition of the structures at the location re- ferred to above. The owner of record is the State of Minnesota, Tax forfeited. The leg.l description of the property is Lot 6 , Block 15, Arlington Hills Additio. The buiding is a two-story, 20 ' x 4Q' frame dwelling. The porches of this dwlling are rotten and sagging. The chimney needs repairing and the roo is old and leaking. The first floor joists and beams are rotted and sagging. The floors of both the first and second floors sag. The plaster is cracked and faliing. Window frames are rotten. The electrical, heating and plumb- ing systems are in poor condition. There is no central heat and space heaters have been removed. The small shed in the rear of the property is in a deteriorated condition. The Housing and Redevelopment Authority does not intend to acquire this property. Inasmuch as the inadequate maintenance, physical damage and dilapidated conditions outlined above constitute a public hazard and the owner has made no attempt to satisfactorily repair the damage despite our warnings, and the continued vacant and boarded up condition contributes a blightirig influence on the neighborhood, it is the recommendation of this Bureau that this matter be referred to the City Attorney' s office for raz- ing and removal through District Court proceedings. ery trul yo s,, C. „-k.... Glenn A.
