WHEREAS� The Council of the City of Saint Paul is considering
the establishment of a Development District in the downtown area,
and to tha.t end ha.s appointed a Task Force to advise as to the
District boundaries and the Development Program; and
WE�REAS, The Downtown Development District Task Force ha.s
recommended boundaries for said District, a copy of which is attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, La.ws of Minnesota for 1973, Cha.pter 764, provides
tha.t the City Council ma.y adopt Development Districts within the
City after consultation with its planning agency and after public
. hearings; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, Tha.t the Council does hereby request tha.t the
Planning Commission review the Task Force' s proposed boundaries for
a Downtewn Development District, and the Planning Coordina.tor is
hereby requested to meet with the Planning Commissian and to provide
the Commission with all available information concerning the proposed
improvements that could be included in the Development Program; and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, Tha.t the Planning Commission sha.�l submit its
recommendations to the City Council as soon as possible.
