the City of Saint Paul and situated
upon those premises legally described
as Lot Seven (7) Block five (5)
Scribner and Crittendens Subdivision
of Lots 8 and 13 of Smith and Lotts
Out Lots, according to the plat there-
of on file and of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds within and
for the County of Ramsey, State of
Minnesota.
WHEREAS pursuant to Resolution, C. F. No. 261504, approved
June 21, 19�/3, a public hearing was duly held on July 5, 1973,
before the Council of the City of S�int Paul, said h�axing per-
taining to the condition of the structure located at 731 Ma.rshall,
.Saint Paul, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, upon the facts presented at the hearing consisting
of photographs, inspection reports and the recommendations of the
Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement it is found and
determined by the City Council that according to the records and
files in the office of the Register of Deeds, the last record
owner of the above property, pursuant to a mortgage foreclosure
sale held November 16, 1972, is the Paul Revere Life Insurance
Company, and that there has been an unrecorded transfer of title
to the Veteran' s Administration as of Januaxy 10, 1973; and that
there are no lien hold ers of record; and that it is further
determined that the above described building is a hazardous building
within the definition of Minnesota Statutes Section 463. 15 for the
following reasons:

a. The building is standing vacant, abandoned and
is subject to being entered by unauthorized persons;
b. The garage is severely deteriorated and in a
dangerous condition. The roof covering and the siding
are missing and the doors are broken. The studs have
been knocked off the foundation on the south side;
c. The garage in the above condition is beyond
reasona.ble repair;
d. The garage constitutes a�nuisance and a hazard
to the public health, safety and welfare because of its
physical dama.ge, dilapidation and inadequate ma.intenance;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections
463.15 througl� 463.2f�, and based upon the f oregoing f indings of
the City Council, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby make the following Order:
ORDER

1. The owners of th� above described garage shall ma.ke the �'`�"`�
same safe and not detrimental to the public peace, hsalth,
safety and welfare by having the said garage razed and the ' ������
materials therefrom removed from the premises within thirty (30)
days from the date of the service of this Order;
2. Unle.ss such corrective action is taken to comp�.g with
this Order or an answer ser�red upon the Cityr of Saint Paul and
filed in the Office of the Clerk of the District Court of
Ramsey County, Minnesota, within twenty (20) days from the date
of the service of thi� Order, a Motion for Summary Enforcement
of this Order to raze and remove the said garage will be ma.de
to the Ramsey County Aistrict Court;
3. In the event tha.t the garage is to be razed by the City
of Saint Paul pursuant to judgment of the District Court, all
personal property or fixtures which may unreason.�bly interfere
with the razin and removal of this garage shall be removed
within ten (]�J� days from the entry of judgment; and if not so
removed, the �ity of ' t Paul shall remove and dispose of
such personal property.>; d fixtures as provided by law;

4. If the City of Saint Paul is compelled to take any
corrective action herein, all necessary costs expended by the
City will be assessed against the above described real estate
and collected as other taxes; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution
and incorporated Order herein be served upon the last record
owner of the above described property in the manner provided by
law.
