An, ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3250, entitled:
"A:n administrative ordinance relating to the Civil Service
Commi,ssion and the Civil Service Office of the City of Saint Paul
approving and adopting ru,les and regulations necessary to the
administration of the City personnel system on a merit basis, "
�approved August 20, 1914, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1, That Ordinance No. 3250, approved August 20, 1914,
as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out of
Section 35 E 3 the last sentence which reads as follows:
: "Pregnancy and maternity shall not be deemed sickness under
the meaning of this Section. "

Section 2. This ordinance� shall take effect and be in force
thirty days after its passage, approval, and publication.

sick leave provisions resulting inillnesses and
disabilities occuring as a result of pregnancy
and maternity being considered under the sick
leave provisions.

The attached ordinance removes the indicated wording from the present
Sick Leave provisions, and as a result, illnesses a.nd disabilities occurring
as a result of pregnancy and maternity will be considered under the Sick
Leave provisions.
