RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a
release in full to the City, in a form to be approved
by the City Attorney, the proper City officers a.re
hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort
Liability Fund 09070-420-000, to:
l. Farmers Insura.nce Group the sum of $998.21 in full
settlem ent of its daim of damages sustained on or
about December 28, 1973, as more particularly set
out in a. communication to the City Council on
January 11, 1974.
2. Mrs. Frank Fleischbacker the sum of $70.00 i,n full
settlement of her claim of dama.ges sustained on or
about April 11, 1974, as more particula.rly set out
in a communica.tion to the City Council on Ma.y 10, 1974.
3 . Reinmar H. Belz, M.D. the sum of $130.35 in full
settlement of his claim of damages sustained on or
about July 10, 1973, as more particularly set out
in a communication to the City Council on August l, 1973.
4. Steven Haro the sum of $425.41 in full settlement of
his claim of damages susta.ined on or about April 4,
1974, as more particularly set out in a communication
to the City Council on April 26, 1974.

MEMORANDUM TO COUNCIL
CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY FA RMERS INSURANCE GROUP, MRS. FRANK
�'LEISCHBACKER, REINMAR H. BELZ, M.D.,
AND STEVEN HARO
Claimant, Farmers Insurance Group, requests payment
for damages to its insured' s vehicle which was involved
in an accident with a City of Saint Paul Public Works'
vehicle on December 28, 1973. The vehicle is owned by
John F. Fischer, driver at the time of the accident.
Fa.rmers Insurance Group filed subrogated rights to this
claim on January 11, 1974. Liability is on the part
of the City. This office approves the settlement of
Farmers Insurance Group' s claim in the amount of $998.21.
Claimant, Mrs. Frank Fleischback er, requests payment
for property damaged by a City crew in the process of
catching a rat which was caught in her toilet bowl.
In the process of their work, the men put a hole in
the side of the bowl with a wrecking tool. Liability
is on the part of the City. This office approves the
settlement of Mrs. Fleischbacker' s claim in the amount
of $70.00.
Claimant, Reinmar H. Belz, M.D. , requests reimbursement
for doctor and hospital bills which were incurred as
the result of injuries his daughte� Amy, susta ined in
an accident at El Ria Vista Park. Liability is on the
part of the City: This office approves the settlement
of Dr. Belz' claim in the amount of $130.35.
